PRIMARY SCHOOL PROGRAM

In 2026, we are extremely proud to launch our Primary School Program, thoughtfully designed for students in Years 5 and 6. Recognising the importance of these formative years, we have invested significant time and care into developing a program that genuinely connects with younger learners. Developed in collaboration with a PhD-qualified psychologist, the program is age-appropriate, evidence-informed, and designed to build strong foundations for wellbeing and help-seeking.

YEARS 5-6

Our Years 5 - 6 Primary School Program introduces students to the foundations of emotional regulation at a pivotal stage of their development.

As students in Years 5 and 6 experience increasing academic demands, social changes, and the transition towards secondary school, it becomes essential that they are equipped with the skills to understand and manage their emotions.

Through engaging, age-appropriate activities and guided discussion, students build emotional literacy, learn to recognise and name their feelings, and practise practical regulation tools they can apply at school, at home, and in everyday life.

Linked to the Victorian Curriculum, our program is designed to support students during this key period of growth and transition, empowering them to develop resilience, confidence, and a healthy relationship with their emotions.

WELLBEING JOURNAL

At Speak & Share, we have developed a 34-page Wellbeing Journal to complement our Primary School Mental Health Workshop.

This resource has been thoughtfully designed for Year 5 and 6 students, supporting them as they continue to build emotional literacy, self-awareness, and healthy emotional regulation strategies.

Throughout the journal, students engage in a range of guided activities that encourage reflection and growth. These activities explore what it means to be a good friend, understanding what respect looks, feels, and sounds like, capturing moments of kindness, developing positive wellbeing habits + so much more!

Each activity is age-appropriate, engaging, and aligned with the social and emotional challenges students experience during this important stage of development.

We are proud to provide every Year 5 and 6 student who attends our Speak & Share workshop with their own personal Wellbeing Journal - a safe space to create, reflect, and celebrate the values, strengths, and experiences that make them who they are.

Please see attached example of some pages we have included within our wellbeing journal..
